Make a Mental Checklist!

Neon Fuzz is back.

While Alcaraz, Shelton, Tiafoe and the rest are grinding through the second round in New York, watch what happens in the 20 seconds after the point ends.

The best players don't just walk to the towel. They run a quick post- point analysis:

  • What was good?

  • What could be better?

  • Find a simple solution

  • Plan for the next point

(And they keep it simple: Target → Shot selection → Execution.)

Most club players skip this entirely. They hit, mutter, and immediately get ready for the next ball. The pros use those few seconds to reset and stay in control. Notice the pros have rituals, and they MEAN something. I guarantee you they're not just straightening their strings or tapping their shoes. Those physical cues are attached to a positive mental routine.

Try it in your next practice or match. After every point, give yourself that short checklist before you bounce the ball again.
